A certificate can transfer to SMG when the certificate you hold is current and accredited, and when the standard, including any sector or food category, sits inside SMG's accreditation. IAF Consultancy audits the transfer. SMG issues the certificate. The accreditation belongs to SMG.
Which standards are on the accreditation?
SMG, Sustainable Management Group Inc., is accredited by the International Accreditation Service under MSCB-153. The accreditation covers:
- ISO 9001:2015, quality management
- ISO 14001:2015, environmental management
- ISO 45001:2018, occupational health and safety
- ISO 22000:2018, food safety
- FSSC 22000 version 6.0
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022, information security
- ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, IT service management
- ISO 22301:2019, business continuity
- ISO 37001:2016 and ISO 37001:2025, anti-bribery
- ISO 21001:2018 and ISO 21001:2025, educational organizations
For ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000, industry sectors or food categories are part of the accreditation. The certificate of accreditation is the list that counts. It is linked from the partner page. If this page and that PDF ever differ, follow the PDF.
What about ISO 20000-1, ISO 22301, ISO 37001, and ISO 21001?
Those four can be reviewed as transfers when your certificate is current and accredited to the matching edition. ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 is service management. ISO 22301:2019 is business continuity. ISO 37001 is anti-bribery, in the 2016 or 2025 edition named on your certificate. ISO 21001 is the certificate for educational organizations, in the 2018 or 2025 edition you hold.
The review has the same shape as for the better-known standards: the certificate, the latest reports, the open findings, and a scope that matches the accreditation. Put the edition in the scope notes. These certificates can share an application with ISO 9001 or ISO 27001 when you hold those as well. See several certificates in one application.
What about a standard that is not on the list?
A standard outside that accreditation cannot be issued as an SMG certificate. Sector schemes such as automotive, aerospace, and medical devices are a common example. The application form lets you name many standards, because the audit enquiry is wide. Naming a standard does not widen SMG's accreditation. The offer says when a certificate cannot be issued here.
Edition matters inside the list as well. An ISO 27001 transfer is a 2022 certificate. FSSC should be named with the version on the certificate you hold.
How do you find out for your own certificate?
Send the application with the standard as printed on your certificate, and choose Transfer from another body. The written offer states the scope, the timing, and the price when the certificate can move, and it states the reason when it cannot.
Notes on the standards companies ask about most: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, and ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000.
